iSeries (AS/400) PTF Maintenance When you call IBM for support with a problem or issue, one of the first questions they will ask you is "what Cumulative PTF package are you on?" If you are not on the latest they will often suggest that the problem may have been resolved by the latest fix package. PTF maintenance complements our OS/400 upgrade service in that it is designed to ensure your system is kept up-to-date with the latest PTF releases from IBM. The service includes three PTF Cumulative package loads per year and a PTF alert for fixes relevant to your system. As an added bonus, we include our Restricted State Manager software as part of the service. RSM/400 allows you to schedule and complete full system backups and other restricted state tasks without the requirement for staff to be in attendance. See Backing up your system for more details.
