iSeries System Rationalisation - LPAR Services - Configuration and Set-up Your system will be delivered as a single partitioned system. All hardware will be owned by the primary partition. ATS's first job is to understand exactly what your requirements are, both long term and short term and offer any advice we feel is appropriate based on our own experience. Correct configuration of the partitions is critical to ease of management and flexibility in terms of feature movement between partitions. It is also critical to performance. Incorrect allocation of system buses can affect both performance and movement of features, so it is important to get right. Our first task is often reorganising the card features and disk drives by removing them and inserting into the correct locations so that you can achieve the intended flexibility and configuration(s) from your LPAR system. ATS will work with your staff throughout the process. This will help to insure that knowledge transfer takes place, leaving your staff with the experience and know-how to continue to operate and manage the system(s) effectively after our task is complete.
